일본 사이버에이전트가 광고 분야 관련 블록체인을 연구 및 개발하는 스튜디오를 설립했다.

3일 시넷재팬에 따르면 최근 사이버에이전트는 애드테크놀로지 분야 관련 서비스를 개발하는 애드테크스튜디오와 블록체인 분야 관련 서비스를 연구・개발 강화를 목적으로 ‘블록체인 스튜디오’를 설립했다고 발표한 것으로 알려졌다.

근래 들어 블록체인 기술은 암호화폐(가상화폐) 외의 다양한 분야에 대한 이용이 확대되는 추세로 이 회사 그룹에 있어서도 폭넓은 사업에서 앞으로의 활용을 전망, 광고 사업에 있어서의 블록체인 기술 활용 및 서비스 개발・연구를 목적으로 한 이 스튜디오를 설립한 것으로 나타났다.

이 스튜디오는 블록체인 테크놀로지 관련 엔지니어와 비즈니스 디벨로프먼트를 조직화하며 서비스 개발・연구의 효율과 기술력 향상을 도모, 나아가 새롭게 사내외로부터 엔지니어를 채용해 개발 체제를 강화한다. 이들 엔지니어의 기술력 향상을 지원하는 환경을 조성, 새로운 제도도 도입할 것으로 보인다.

한편 애드테크스튜디오에서는 자회사 4곳을 포괄하고 있으며 약 200명의 엔지니어에 의해 RTB광고를 지탱하는 SSP와 DSP, AI・로봇 서비스 사업 등 약 20가지의 서비스를 제공 중인 것으로 전해졌다.
